Technical Services Group (TSG) specializes in Ground Penetrating Radar testing and
inspection services for bridge deck and pavements, using non-contacting and contacting style IRIS GPR systems.
Since 1985, Penetradar TSG has conducted GPR surveys in over 30 US states, Canada and
in Europe, inspecting hundreds of bridge decks comprising several million
square feet of deck area and several thousand lane miles of highway
pavement. Our GPR surveys can provide critical information on bridge
deck and pavement condition to identify to early faults and predict useful
life. Penetradar Technical Services conform to industry standards, including SHRP C101, AASHTO TP36 and ASTM D
6087-97.

IRT and Video Inspection
Infrared Thermography (IRT)
produces a thermal mapping of surface temperature. This technique is
particularly useful as an independent NDT method to complement GPR in
bridge deck delamination detection and condition evaluation. IRT is useful
in any application where surface temperature is in correspondence with the
physical condition or physical properties of a material or structure.
Video imaging is useful in connection with bridge deck inspection and
pavement surveys and provides visual information relating to the surface
condition of pavements and bridges. When combined, GPR IRT and Video
imaging represent a complete and comprehensive set of NDT tools.
